Fall In New Mexico
Fall in Albuquerque always seems like such a treat from the weather starting to cool down from the insanely hot summers to the amazing colors that start to change in the Sandia Crest to the Bosque and the Rio Grande River. New Mexico's chile season begins as you can always tell from all the side street vendors and the smell of freshly roasted green chile.
The colors are something I always look forward to as a photographer as they tend not to be here for more than a few weeks each year and it creates amazing images with gorgeous colors from vibrant yellows and pungent oranges. One of my favorite places to take images is the Sandia Crest (I know, super basic) as the colors just hold slightly longer than down in the city.
Something that I enjoyed more than anything this year was the outfit that Kyle Tipgos (@_patrickleonor_ on IG) chose, which complimented the earthy tones that were already up at the Crest by complimenting it with a nice muted green shirt and some light tan pants. The combination just created an amazing image and the colors that were pulled from the natural background were just truly stunning. Below you can just see the amazing colors that were able to be brought out in the surrounding area.
Looking Back
I think that some of my favorite times that I have created images were always in the fall because of the changing colors, the weather cooling down, and just meeting amazing people who would be willing to take portraits with me especially spur of the moment ideas that I had wanted to create, though not all of them always worked out, it was an adventure none the less.
Each set of my images feels like it changes each year as my photography changes as well as the people who I meet along the way, as the season changes, so does life it feels like, which is never a bad thing. Positive changes within social structures can always be scary but I'm always glad to be able to reflect on the amazing people who have changed my life each year. Creating new images along the way is just a plus.
